Student's Assessment and Evaluation

Each student's performance is assessed over the entire academic year based on continous an comprehensive evaluation.The comprehensive school based evaluation certificate records students achievements in areas of physical, emotional and aesthetic development as well as coagnitive development. For this, the whole session has been divided into two terms. i.e.April to September- Term I and October to March Term II. The final result will be declared on the basis of performance in term I and term II in the form of five point grading scale (from Pre- school to V) and nine point grading scale(Scholastic) and 5 point grading scale(Co- Scholastic) for VI to X as per CBSE guidelines.

The grades stand for the following distribution of marks.

The 'Achievement Record' provides a holistic picture of the learner and would not give any negative input about the performance of the learner. The objective is to bring continuous improvement in the performance of a learner through constant diagnosis of gaps and difficulties in learning and helping him/her in overcoming them through remediation of instructions. There will be a combined ' Achievement Record' for Pre School & Pre Primary, I & II, III to V & separate report cards from VI to X.

ACADEMIC ASSESSMENT
Scholastic Area: The assessment structure and examination for classes VI to VIII have been prepared in view of the provisions of RTE-Act 2009 and comprises of two terms i.e. Term-1 and 2 as explained below:

General Instruction
1.Regularity in FAs/SAs/tests/exams is a must for the students.
2.If a student is absent for any test she/he will be awarded zero in that test. If a student is absent on the day of the test due to medical reason, a written application supported by a medical certificate must be submitted on the same day.
3.The student on medical leave will be allowed to resume school only after the medical fitness certificate is submitted.
4.No student is allowed to go home after the test and no half day leave is permitted for any other reason as well.
5.75% of the attendance is mandatory to appear in the Annual Examination.
6.Cheating or using unfair means during tests/exams will lead to expulsion from school or cancellation of the paper and zero marks will be awarded in that test/exam.
7.There will be strict adherence to due dates for each Project/Activity given by the subject teacher
8.Class XII : Student of Class IX to XII must attend school regularly, especially on the days specified for CBSE formalities. Failing to comply, the school will not be responsible for getting the forms signed. Student will then have to go directly to the CBSE office to sign their respective forms to avail the admit card. Dates and time for all practical exams will be intimated to student in school. School will not be responsible if a student misses exams.
