Project-Think Outside The Trash
It was indeed a great opportunity for our students to participate in the IDS project titled ‘Think Outside The Trash’ that focused on gaining understanding of the 3Rs and effective waste management strategies adopted in China, Germany and Austria. It was organized in April & May 2021.The project mainly aimed to encourage and motivate the students to practice to live a life following the mantra of ‘Waste Not, Want Not’. The students of class I participated in an online stage show which included poem recitation, fashion show and dance performances .Each section of class II was assigned a country of study. Through an interesting puppet show, the teachers explained how waste is managed in the countries selected. Taking inspiration from Germany’s recycling method; students prepared and presented bins of four different colours used for different kinds of waste. The Kindergarten students made very attractive eco friendly products out of waste and presented them in their online class. Through this project the students gained knowledge about the importance of waste management to develop a green and clean society and world.
