| We can never predict the arrival of natural disasters so, it is necessary to prepare ourselves
and our children. Keeping this in mind, we organized a month long activity which helped
students understand the concept of disaster management and also the prevention and
mitigation strategies adopted in India, Nepal, Japan and Philippines. Students of class III
made emergency kits to survive in an emergency and presented them during online class.
Class V students collected information about the disaster risk reduction measures adopted in
the countries of study and presented their research work through colorful and informative
flipcharts. Students of class IV prepared a First aid pocket guide and participated in a group
discussion during online class. This activity enhanced confidence and communicative skills of
the students. |
