NOVEMBER -INTERNATIONAL INHOUSE ACTIVITY
PROJECT –The History of Money – From Barter to Banknotes.
Keeping in mind the importance of Indian currency’s history, we organized a month-long activity that helped students understand the necessity of the origination and evolution of Indian currency. The students of class IX carried out a research work on the currencies of South Korea, Sweden and Nigeria and expressed it in colorful Interactive notebooks. They gained a different experience by Virtual tour of the National Museum of Delhi and learnt a lot about the history of coins and currency.
Students of class X penned stories highlighting the history of Indian currency. These stories were exchanged with the partner school in South Korea. Students of class XI studied the origin and growth of banking in India and the countries selected and presented in the form of research papers which were exchanged via post and reviewed by the students of both schools. At the end of the project, a culture box was exchanged.
